Planning is underway to address the question on many people’s minds: What will fall 2020 look like in our schools? In July our district held virtual Town Halls to hear feedback from students, staff, families and the community on initial committee recommendations for how learning might look this fall. Questions raised during those Town Halls are being added regularly to a Frequently Asked Questions webpage.

The district has launched a new Technology Family Resource Center webpage to help families find information about technology tools in one location on the website.

It's here, it's official, we're doing it! Our teachers are excited to dig in and start teaching students and leading these virtual classes. We're just getting started so please stay tuned for updates to these pages as the school year progresses.

The purpose of Friends of the OSD is to connect with our community and inform and involve local businesses, district alumni, former employees, friends, grandparents and relatives with our students and schools.

The Knox 111 Administrative Center remains closed with employees working remotely until further notice.

In anticipation of the beginning of this 2020-21 school year we want to provide you with information regarding special education services in these unique circumstances. ​ In the past couple of weeks, The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) has released guidance around the IEP process and special education service provision, which was subsequently modified a week ago. We expect that guidance will continue to evolve over time. Olympia School District has adopted a comprehensive plan for re-opening that includes guidelines for district-wide special education services.
